June 12, 2018 – The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo is still hoping for the return of the two gopher tortoises and two box turtles taken from the zoo during the overnight hours May 23.

A reward of up to $1000 for the safe return of the four missing animals has been issued. The animals can be brought to the zoo, no questions asked. The gopher tortoises were recovering from injuries that required weekly medication and cannot survive long without the medical attention.

The SF Teaching Zoo wants their animals returned home and hopes that the reward money will encourage anyone who knows where the missing animals are to bring them back to the zoo.

Anyone bringing the missing animals to the zoo, no questions asked, will be eligible for the reward money.
