August 7, 2018 – Andrew Eyster, who played baseball for the Saints as an SF student last season was named the Valley League’s 2018 Most Valuable Player. Eyster led the Valley League in batting average (.421), slugging percentage (.781) and on-base percentage (.511). He also had nine home runs and 35 RBIs in 32 games playing for the New Market Rebels.

Eyster, who played high school baseball in Ocala, will take his talents to the University of South Carolina in the fall and be a part of the Gamecocks baseball team this spring.
