September 4, 2018 – The Santa Fe College Gallery is honored to host the exhibit, Bo Diddley – The Life and Times of Ellas McDaniel. The exhibit will run Friday, September 14 through Friday, November 16, in the gallery located in Building M, Room 147.
This truly unique and exciting exhibit features the creative works of Ellas “Bo Diddley” McDaniel. In addition to his career as a ground-breaking blues musician, Bo was a lifelong maker. Aside from the custom guitars he made, Diddley also made paintings, sculptures and ceramics. This exhibit is a collaboration with the McDaniel family, as well as, Scott Smith, a former guitar player with Diddley.
There will be an opening reception for this exhibit 7 – 9 p.m. Friday, September 14. This event will feature free refreshments served by Custom Caterers. This and all gallery events are free and open to the public.
