Friday’s Commencement Ceremonies at SF Set for 7 p.m.

December 14, 2018 – Santa Fe College will wrap up commencement today, with all degree and certificate-earning students graduating at 7 p.m. in the Santa Fe College Gymnasium.

Faculty and staff members who are not volunteering, or planning on attending commencement should be aware that the roads around the gym will be closing early in advance of commencement. North Road near the gym will be closed at approximately 4:45 p.m.

Employees who normally leave campus via North Road to NW 91stStreet will have to exit campus via NW South Road. Employees who park east of the gym will be able to continue traveling east on North Road to NW 83rd Street to leave the Northwest Campus.

In addition to the road closures and increased traffic of family members coming to the Northwest Campus for commencement, the National Weather Service is calling for severe weather, with heavy rains and a flood watch in effect through late tonight, causing the potential for delays getting on and off campus. SF employees who are leaving campus, and family and friends of graduates coming to campus, should use extreme caution on the roads.

For visitors coming to commencement, disabled parking will be available in Lots 10 and 11. General commencement parking will be available in Lots 8, 9, 9a and 12. All guests coming to commencement must have a ticket to enter the gym. Anyone without a ticket will be directed to the SF Fine Arts Hall to watch the ceremony on the big screen. Graduation can also be viewed online.

Additional commencement information can be found at sfcollege.edu/registrar/graduation/index.

Congratulations to all of this year’s graduates.
