Sexual Battery Reported on Northwest Campus

January 14, 2019 – A 19-year-old woman reported that she was sexually battered early Sunday evening on Santa Fe College’s Northwest Campus. The victim was walking on the campus when she was approached by a man with a knife and was forced into his vehicle where the assault occurred.

At the time of the incident, there were no classes nor activities on campus. The Santa Fe College Police Department, working with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, describes the suspect as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male between 25 and 35 years of age, driving an older model dark four door sedan.

At this point, no witnesses have been located. Anyone with information about this case is asked to notify the SFPD immediately at 352-395-5519.
