January 31, 2019 – The Santa Fe Saints baseball team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 7-3 win over Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Wednesday in Gainesville.
Brooks Walton (1-0) earned his first win of the year, going six innings and allowing just one run, two hits and a walk while striking out five. Parker Biederer had three hits in the game for the Saints including a triple while Brock Edge recorded two hits and two RBI.
SF, ranked third in the FCSAA poll and No. 12 in the NJCAA poll, will travel to Bradenton Friday to take on Florida State College, Manatee-Sarasota before returning home to host South Florida State College in a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon.
