February 11, 2019 – The Florida Museum of Natural History and Santa Fe College Art Gallery have partnered to open SF’s newest art exhibit, featuring works made by students and artists in the Gainesville community who attended 2018’s SciArt meetups. The exhibit will be on display from Feb. 8 to Mar. 15 at the Santa Fe Gallery on SF’s Northwest Campus. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Through the work of our participating artists we hope to display and celebrate the connection between art and science,” said Santa Fe Gallery manager Kyle Novak.

The Florida Museum and Santa Fe Art Gallery have been working over the last year with Gainesville artists to create the pieces that will be on display at the gallery. The exhibition will be comprised of paintings, drawings, ceramics, film, photography and digital media from the SciArt events hosted in 2018.

“I’m excited to share with the Gainesville community the awesome work that has been created during the 2018 meetups,” said Florida Museum educator Chelsea Collison.
