SF’s Counselor In Training (CIT) Program Taking Applications

April 26, 2019 – Santa Fe College’s Counselor In Training (CIT) leadership program is taking applications through Friday, May 10. The CIT program is designed to help motivated rising 10th through 12th-grade high school students receive leadership training and earn volunteer hours while assisting with College for Kids, a summer program for middle school students. This unique experience gives participants an understanding of commitment and the need for positive relationships with peers and adults as it correlates to teamwork.

Students will have the ability to earn 80 volunteer hours per session and are needed for either or both camp sessions, July 8-18, or July 22 – Aug. 1. Camp sessions are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. The cost is $100 per camp session.

Interested students must submit an application by May 10, 2019. Applications can be found on SF’s College For Kids webpage. All applicants will be contacted for an interview, and if chosen must be able to attend training from 12:30 – 3 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at SFs Northwest Campus.
