May 20, 2019 – Santa Fe College students taking the African Humanities course were able to experience the African Art Collection at the Harn Museum of Art. The visit to the Harn was part of an assignment that required students to use Instagram to highlight African culture and influences.
The project was titled “Africa in Alachua” and encouraged students to express their ideas and interpretations through digital photography. The students were featured in an article posted on the Visit Gainesville website.
The art is featured at the Harn and the public is invited to view their work during the Harn’s normal operating hours.
