August 14, 2019 – Santa Fe College’s East Gainesville Instruction (EGI) will host its annual Community Forum at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 2505 NE 8th Avenue in Gainesville.

At the event, EGI will be presenting its annual report to community members. The report will include information about the educational outreach, parent empowerment, workforce development, faith-based partnerships, and technology and literacy outreach programs they have undertaken.

EGI Executive Director Karen Cole-Smith said the purpose of the annual event is to “partner for positive change, with priority given to the East Gainesville community.”

Since its founding in 2002, EGI has been fighting poverty and assisting citizens by offering educational outreach, vocational training, community empowerment events, and other services throughout the county.

Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by Thursday, Sept. 5, at EGI@sfcollege.edu or by calling 352-395-5645.
