SF’s Ethics Bowl Team Wins Two-Year College Tournament

Members and coaches of the SF Ethics Bowl Team

November 25, 2019 – Over the weekend in San Antonio, Santa Fe College’s Ethics Bowl team again won the two-year college competition, qualifying them for the national intercollegiate finals in Atlanta this February. SF’s team won in 2017 as well, in only their second year of existence.

Congratulations go out to all of the members of the team, coach Ann Thebaut, Ron Claypool and Claire Orenduff-Bartos, who accompanied the students to San Antonio, as well as the other members of the SF family, including Lisa Charney and Chris Zurheide, who helped them prepare.

The team, under Ann’s extraordinary leadership, has put in countless hours of research and practice, on weekends, at night and in the very early morning. Many thanks are due to Provost Ed Bonahue, who has generously provided funding from Academic Affairs to make the team’s travel to competitions possible this year. On to Atlanta!
