December 16, 2019 – Santa Fe College will kick-off the new year and new academic term with Spring Convocation Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at 9 a.m. in the SF Fine Arts Hall.
This will be the final convocation under the leadership of SF President Dr. Jackson Sasser. Sasser announced his plan to retire at the Spring 2019 convocation and will be leaving office Feb. 1, 2020, after 18 years of service to the college. SF’s fifth president, Dr. Paul Broadie will start Feb. 2. Dr. Sasser said that although this will not be a walk down memory lane, he does hope that as many faculty and staff members as possible are able to attend.
SF faculty and staff who did not receive a “You are Santa Fe” pin during fall convocation will have an opportunity to get one of the remaining pins during spring convocation. There will be light refreshments served in the lobby of the SF Fine Arts Hall beginning at 8:30 a.m. All SF faculty and staff are encouraged to attend convocation to get the new term started.
