January 6, 2020 – The newest episode of Developing Global Citizens, Santa Fe College’s podcast, is now available. The podcast, hosted by Dr. Vilma Fuentes brings together faculty, staff, students and international delegations from all around the world to reflect on the rewarding work involved in developing global citizens.
The latest podcast, released Friday, Jan. 3, is with SF President Dr. Jackson Sasser. Although now preparing to retire, Dr. Sasser began his presidency in the months after Sept. 11, 2001. In fact, the event itself literally affected his travel to SF during the interview process. Over the 17 years that followed, he developed many programs to internationalize the college. In this interview with host Vilma Fuentes, he discusses these programs and his motivation in taking a community college in a global direction.
