Rosewood Foundation President to Speak at Fine Arts Hall

January 24, 2020 – Local author, historian and president of the Real Rosewood Foundation, Lizzie Jenkins, will be speaking in the lobby of the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall Thursday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. She will be speaking about the tragic Rosewood massacre that occurred in January 1923 just outside of Alachua County in Levy County that some of her family members survived. Her talk will take place in front of the painting “Hope Prevails” by SF alumnus Pedro Jermaine.
