The Learning Commons and all services remain open to students with regular hours for all subjects (https://www.sfcollege.edu/tutoring/index). We are working very hard to ramp up our ability to meet with students online if they choose not to come to campus, and we will be sending detailed information very soon on how students can connect online. Academic Success Coaches and Tutors will all be seeing students as needed, and I encourage you to message students early and often to remind them that we are still here to assist. During this stressful time, students may lose motivation to connect with many of the supports regularly available, so your help in encouraging students to connect will benefit them greatly.
Additionally, a reminder that our subscription to Student Lingo includes many online modules that help students strategize how to be successful, but I wanted to especially remind you of the below modules.
These modules in particular address online learning. The direct links below can be used anywhere you may embed a link and will take the student directly to these modules (they will go through the college single sign-on (SFID@sfcollege.edu and password).
The Learning Commons will continue to support students with academic success coaching in person or via an online format. Trained academic coaches will continue to partner with students to assist them with goal-setting, developing action plans, and study strategies.

To access online Academic Success Coaching:
- Students can connect with coaches using Microsoft Teams which is available to faculty, students, and staff as part of the Microsoft Office suite. At the time of the scheduled appointment, students should log into their student email and follow these directions to start a video chat.
Biology/Chemistry Tutoring
For tutoring assistance in Biology and Chemistry, tutors will be using Zoom meeting with a dedicated link:

They will be put in a “waiting room” until the tutor is available to help them. If a tutor is temporarily not available, the message “The meeting has not started” will show on the screen. Please check back later.
