May 29, 2020 – Santa Fe College is partnering with the Florida Department of Health in Alachua County to provide a free voluntary drive-thru COVID-19 testing site for all full-time and part-time faculty, staff, Tempforce, SF Food Court staff, SF Bookstore staff, Coffee 101 Café staff, and members of their families who are ages 10 and older.
Testing will be offered on the Northwest Campus in the RTS Bus loop located in front of Building S, Tuesday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to noon. There is no out-of-pocket expense to anyone, with or without insurance. The tests will be available by appointment only to ensure individuals receive important information and to increase the speed of the testing process. Tests can be administered to multiple people in one vehicle if members of households want to be tested at the same time for convenience. The nasal swab test takes less than a minute to perform. Individuals will remain in their vehicle during the process.
To schedule a voluntary appointment, call 352-395-5028 Monday – Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Appointments must be scheduled no later than 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 3.
The Florida Department of Health of Alachua County will administer the testing. Results are not available immediately; individuals will receive a number to call approximately 3 days after for results. Results are typically available within 3-7 days. If you test positive the Florida Health Department will contact you directly.
Individuals should refrain from bringing any pets with them during testing.
