President Broadie Releases Statement to College Community About Returning to On-Campus Activities

May 30, 2020 – Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D., released the following statement about the phased-in return to on-campus activities Friday evening.

Dear Santa Fe family,

Let me begin by telling you how proud I am of the incredible work you have been doing as we have spent the last two and a half months working away from college facilities. I want to take a moment to bring you some clarification as to when you will return to the Northwest Campus or any of the SF centers.

Aside from a small group of faculty and staff who have already been notified, the vast majority of faculty and staff will continue working remotely through most of the month of June.

Everyone’s health and wellbeing are our highest priority as such, we are working toward a safe, gradual, phased-in return for faculty and staff.

Even so, you probably have many more questions than answers. Our COVID-19 Communications Workgroup will be compiling a list of FAQs in the coming days, Director of Human Resources Lela Frye will be sending an informative weekly update and I will be providing additional information in my message to the college community next week.

I ask for your continued patience and perseverance, and I thank you for making myself, the vice presidents and the District Board of Trustees Santa Fe Proud.

Take care,

Paul
