SF Establishes COVID-19 Safety Training for Students

July 21, 2020 – Consistent with Santa Fe College’s ongoing commitment to provide a safe environment for its students, faculty and staff, the college has developed a short online training class for students to help them identify how the virus spreads and ways to prevent transmission, to recognize the symptoms of coronavirus, and to use safety techniques to protect themselves and others from infection. The course also informs students about what SF expects from them with regards to COVID-19.

Effective Thursday, July 23, all SF students are required to complete this training before registering for fall classes. This 10-minute learning experience will help mitigate the infection and spread of COVID-19 at the college and in our community.

Students will be notified about this requirement directly from Student Life, Admissions or from their academic advisors. There will also be social media posts and additional notifications in each student’s Canvas account.

Students will see this requirement and a link to the Canvas course in eSantaFe My Status under the heading Training: COVID-19 Safety. After students complete the course and pass the quiz at the end, My Status will reflect that the training has been completed and the accompanying registration stop will be removed.
