August 24, 2020 – Although many students will still be taking classes remotely, on campus support services are essential to student success. Over the summer, the Student Health Care Center was renovated to provide a more comprehensive health and wellness center for Santa Fe College students.
In addition to new flooring, paint and ceiling times, the Student Health Care Center relocated the reception area, exam rooms and staff offices. Both meditation and lactation rooms were added, as well as upgrades in plumbing and electrical system.
SF President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D., praised the work done to renovate the facility. “The upgrades to our Student Health Care Center will provide our students an accessible, safe location on the Northwest Campus that can address their health concerns,” the president stated. “In this age, with the pandemic that has changed so much as to how we interact with each other, these renovations could not have happened at a better time to give our students the health care support they need.”
The Student Health Care Center offers many free and low-cost services to currently enrolled SF students.
