The college is producing a short video to encourage and support prospective first generation students. If you were a first generation student – the first in your family to attend college – please come to the Media Studio, P-131, on Thursday, October 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
If you have a story to tell about overcoming obstacles or secrets to your success, please share! A simple message is powerful, too, like, “My name is ______. I currently work at Santa Fe College as __________ and I was a first generation college student just like you.”
No matter what part of the college you work in, no matter what role you play, your support will be meaningful to the next generation of first gen students. Please come help us create this important message.
Safety guidelines will be in place. Physical distancing and masks will be required in the Media Studio waiting area. Individuals will be able to remove their masks while speaking into the camera.
