Parks and Rec Star Jim O’Heir Wants SF Students to Vote!
November 3 is the last day to vote in the 2020 General Election or drop off your vote-by-mail ballot in-person! Whether you’ve already voted, you’re helping others vote, or you’re excited to vote on Election Day, you should be proud of yourself for stepping up and making sure your voice is counted!
Precinct Voting: Polling places are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 3, 2020. Remember to wear a mask and bring picture and signature ID. For more information on the types of identification accepted at the polls, click here. Voters must vote in the polling place to which they are assigned. Remember to check your Supervisor of Elections’ website prior to an election in the event there are changes to a polling place location. To find your polling place in Alachua County, use the Precinct Finder. Sample ballots can be found by clicking here. If you are in line before 7 p.m., you will still be allowed to vote.
Vote-by-Mail: If you requested a vote-by-mail ballot and have not returned it, you can still return your mail ballot to your Supervisor of Elections Office in-person before 7 p.m. on Election Day. Instructions for voting your Vote-By-Mail ballot will be included with the ballot. Be certain to completely fill in the oval to the left of the candidate(s) or issue(s) of your choice. Be certain to sign the Voter’s Certificate on the back of the return envelope. If you make a mistake, do not cross out or erase or use Wite-out™. Contact the election office and request a new ballot. If for some reason you have obtained a Vote-By-Mail ballot but wish to vote at an early voting location or at your precinct on Election Day, take the Vote-By-Mail ballot with you to the polls. If you don’t take the ballot with you to be cancelled, you may be instructed to vote a provisional ballot.
