CARES Act Provisions Ending December 18
The CARES Act allowed schools to offer their students relief related to financial aid satisfactory academic progress (SAP) and return of Title IV funds (R2T4). Students impacted by COVID-19 could have their unsuccessful (failed or withdrawn) credits removed from the completion percentage calculation for SAP. If they failed to complete all their classes for the semester and were impacted by COVID-19, the requirement to return some aid funds to Federal Government (R2T4) could be waived.
To take advantage of this relief students were required to notify us that they were impacted by COVID-19 by using the Emergency Form as a written attestation in eSantaFe. After Friday, Dec. 18, we will no longer be able to grant this relief to students. To use these relief provisions for the Fall semester, complete the Emergency Form by Friday, Dec. 18.
