SF’s Adult Ed Partners with Altrusa to Help Students

December 10, 2020 – Santa Fe College’s Adult Education program announced this week that they are partnering with Altrusa International of Gainesville to provide assistance to students in the program. SF’s Adult Education was awarded $1,000 from Altrusa of Gainesville, and that money will be used for students in need to cover costs with both Adult Ed program fees and GED testing fees.

The Altrusa Literacy Committee is also providing support in the classroom for Adult Basic Education, GED, and ESOL by participating in Zoom classes to provide talks, guidance and mock interviews for the students as they begin their steps up the career ladder.

The Adult Education program would like to thank Bennye Alligood, Joanne Broadie, Carolyn Harrell, Sarah Stone, Joan Suchorski, and Ester Tibbs for giving their time and expertise to our students. We look forward to a rich and growing partnership.
