Santa Fe College wants to make sure the students, faculty, staff and visitors to all SF properties are as safe as possible and up to date on procedures in the event of an emergency. As a result, the college will be holding a series of evacuation drills later this month.
During these drills, students, faculty and staff will have to leave their buildings and for the sake of safety gather with classmates or work colleagues in an area at least 50 feet away from the building. The drills, which will be conducted by the Santa Fe College Police Department and SF’s Building Safety Ambassadors, are designed to see how efficiently safety and security officials at the college can get buildings evacuated. The drills will also highlight areas that can be improved on in future drills or in an actual emergency.
All six SF centers and the Northwest Campus are subject to having evacuation drills in any of their buildings during the month.
