Federal Pell Grant Recipients Now Eligible for Emergency Broadband Benefit

Federal Pell Grant recipients are now eligible for discounted broadband services under the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program.
Under the EBB Program, households with Pell Grant recipients are eligible to receive a discount of up to $50 per month on broadband services and associated equipment, and eligible households located on Tribal lands can receive a discount of $75 per month.
Pell Grant recipients can apply for the benefit online, via mail, or through a participating service provider. For more information about how schools can take steps to help eligible students and families navigate the application process, click here.
