July 19, 2021 – Later this month, Santa Fe College will be hosting a pair of events sponsored by the Florida College Access Network (FCAN) designed to give students the help they need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the first step in enabling students to access federal grants, work-study and college loan opportunities. SF is teaming up with the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce and partners across the region to get students started on the process of getting financial aid for college.
After registering in advance at acedcompact.com, students can select from two events at SF. The first will be Tuesday, July 27, from 5:30-7:15 p.m. at the Lawrence W. Tyree Library on SF’s Northwest Campus. The second event will be a virtual event Thursday, July 29, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. In these sessions, students will get the support they need to complete the FAFSA. To help the process run smoothly, FCAN has provided this list of items students will need to bring to complete the FAFSA.
Be sure to register in advance, and for more information, visit the Alachua County Education Compact at acedcompact.com or contact SF’s Office of Admissions at admissions@sfcollege.edu.
