Santa Fe College is Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 through October 15, with a variety of events and activities.
This is a time to recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic, Latinx and Latino-identified communities and spotlight an array of diverse cultures and backgrounds. This month we take time to acknowledge the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.
See more about the rich history and meaning behind Hispanic Heritage Month by participating in Student Life’s Hispanic Heritage Month Quiz. *Students who answer all 6 questions correctly and submit their responses by September 19 at 11:59 p.m., will be entered into a random drawing for the 2021 Hispanic Heritage Month Mug (15 total).
SF Study Abroad and International Education are hosting Hispanic Heritage Month crafts on Thursday, September 16, 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Sign up here.
The SF Teaching Zoo is celebrating by offering guided tours of the zoo in Spanish! Join Zoo Animal Technology student, Pearla, the next four Sundays from 12 – 1 p.m. to learn more about the amazing animals that live in the zoo. Sign up for a tour on Eventbrite or email zoo@sfcollege.edu. Spaces are limited and registration is required. Regular zoo admission fees apply – you will pay for admission at the ticket window when you check-in. There is no additional charge for the guided tour.
