President Broadie Thanks All Veterans With Veterans Day Message

November 11, 2021 – Santa Fe College President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D. released the following statement to the college community to commemorate Veterans Day and thank SF’s veteran population for their service.

Dear Santa Fe Family,

As we celebrate Veterans Day, I want to thank our students, faculty and staff who served our nation as members of the military. We appreciate you, and we thank you for giving of yourself so that the rest of us can have the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Veterans your commitment and your dedication to our country is truly commendable. Your presence here at Santa Fe makes our entire community stronger. I am proud to lead an institution that is dedicated to serving our veterans. That dedication is ingrained in the fiber of the college and permeates throughout the entire institution. Today, we celebrate you, your courage, and your sense of duty. As expressed by President Harry S. Truman, “our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude.” SF thanks you for your service, sacrifice, and unyielding dedication to our nation. Just as you are unwavering in your commitment to our country, we are unwavering in our commitment to serve you.

I also want to take a moment to thank our staff at Veterans and Military Success Services (VMSS), who are driven to see our veterans succeed. The honor of being a “Best for Vets” and “Military Friendly” college is because even after they served in the military, our VMSS veterans have continued that life of service to others.

On behalf of the entire college community, I thank all our military veterans for all you have done on this Veterans Day and every day.

With sincere appreciation,

Paul
