A message from SF President Paul Broadie:
As we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, I want to share with you his statements about education from his column on the purpose of education.
Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stated that “We must remember that intelligence is not enough; intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.” Dr. King said that complete education gives one not only power of concentration, but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate. Dr. King goes on to state that education has a societal and individual importance that improves society and enables individuals to reach the legitimate goals of their life.
Everyone deserves to reach the legitimate goals of their life. Santa Fe College has been unwavering in this commitment.
