Federal Government Providing Free COVID Tests Via USPS

January 19, 2022 – The Biden administration has purchased one billion at-home rapid COVID tests to give Americans for free. Tuesday, the United States postal service launched a website where people can order four COVID tests per valid mailing address.

The beta version of the website was available Tuesday and is expected to be fully operational today. Once ordered, the package with the rapid tests will be shipped within 7-12 days.

The administration also expected to announce later today the availability of 400 million N95 masks through pharmacies and community health centers. The administration is taking these measures as the highly contagious Omicron variant of COVID-19 continues to sweep across the country.
