September 13, 2022 – Military Times released its Best for Vets: Colleges 2022 rankings, and Santa Fe College was not only named one of the nation’s best colleges for veterans and their families but was named the top school in the state of Florida. In addition to being the number one school in the state of Florida, SF ended up 18th in the nation, and 5th overall in the Southeast.
For more than a decade, Military Times has sent surveys to colleges and universities across the country about programs for veterans and their families. The information is compiled and schools are ranked by the support they provide for veterans.
This year’s results came after compiling the responses from more than 300 schools across the country on the programs and services they offer to military students – whether active-duty, veteran or their family members or dependents. Student success metrics on completion, retention, GPA and more are among the most important factors in determining a school’s rank.
