September 15, 2022 – Santa Fe College will be celebrating 20 years of the East Gainesville Initiative (EGI) at its annual Community Forum Thursday, September 22, at 6 p.m. at SF’s Blount Hall in downtown Gainesville.
For two decades, EGI has lived up to its mission of partnering for a positive change. EGI is dedicated to fighting poverty and assisting citizens throughout the county by offering educational outreach for all ages, vocational training, community empowerment events and access to today’s necessary technology.
At the forum, which will include speeches from SF President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D. and SF Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Naima Brown, the college will share the progress that is being made toward equity and diversity goals.
