Santa Fe College Is Monitoring Tropical Depression 9

The Friday, Sept. 23, 5 a.m. AST projected track of Tropical Depression 9.

September 23, 2022 – Santa Fe College officials are monitoring the track of Tropical Depression 9, which formed overnight. It is expected to develop into a tropical storm as early as today. Although neither the exact location of landfall, nor the intensity is known at this point, there is the potential for heavy rains and damaging winds in the SF service district.

Because we are still in the midst of hurricane season, the college strongly encourages students to log into into eSantaFe and employees log into eStaff to make sure your emergency contact information is correct and up to date. If you have not downloaded the Safe Santa Fe app, this would also be a good time to do so. In the event of any emergency, SF will contact you through whatever emergency contact information you have provided, or through the Safe Santa Fe app.

Please bookmark the college’s SF Alerts webpage for official updated information concerning Tropical Depression 9 or any other college alert issues. Get the latest information on the track of all storms through the National Hurricane Center’s webpage.
