December 9, 2022 – Santa Fe College’s Division of Student Affairs is pleased to offer the Mental Health First Aid training. This training helps participants understand how to help students, visitors or staff members who may be experiencing a mental health-related crisis or problem on campus. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.
As we focus on continuous improvement, service excellence, and campus safety in an environment where many people are experiencing mental health issues or problems, this course helps to equip staff with the tools needed to safely intervene and make appropriate referrals.
The next on-campus training will be Friday, Jan. 27, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Please sign up through this link. There are only thirty seats available in this class and other classes will be scheduled later in the semester.
