Biance Wilburn New Interim Coordinator for My Brother’s Keeper

February 13, 2023—Vice President Naima Brown and Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Asha Brunings ask that you please join them in congratulating Ms. Biance Wilburn!

Biance Wilburn

On February 16, Ms. Wilburn will begin serving as the Interim Coordinator of My Brother’s Keeper. Ms. Wilburn was originally hired by the college as the part-time BEC Specialist. In that role, she successfully collaborated with My Brother’s Keeper, My Sister’s Keeper, the Black Student Union, and Student Life to engage students in on-campus and off-campus activities.

She provided a safe space for students to congregate and share ideas and concerns. Ms. Wilburn said she is “looking forward to developing the mentorship program to meet the needs of the students.” Developing the mentoring program is not new to her; she was a peer mentor at Shaw University.

Originally from California, Ms. Wilburn earned a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting from Shaw University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Antelope Valley. She brings her experience in Financial Aid as well as Admissions.

Congratulations Biance Wilburn!
