Public Safety Is A Shared Responsibility

February 22, 2023 – The Santa Fe College Police Department (SFPD) provides several services to the students, faculty and staff to promote and increase safety at the college, however, safety is a shared responsibility. The SFPD, located in Building T on the Northwest Campus, is open 24/7/365 to serve the college community. They also provide safety resources at all SF locations and parter with area law enforcement agencies.

The SFPD reminds the college community to report any suspicious activity through their See Something, Say Something initiative. Students can make sure their Emergency Contact information is accurate through eSantaFe, while SF employees can verify their information in eStaff. The SFPD also recommends downloading the Safe Santa Fe app for emergency notices and other important safety information.

The college offers additional safety information through the SF Safety and Risk Management webpage, including the college’s Emergency Procedures that includes a six-minute video called “Run, Hide, Fight” that covers what you can do if there is an active shooter event.

If you need to contact the SFPD for an emergency situation, call 352-395-5555 or dial 911. For any other police business or a nonemergency, you can call 352-395-5519.
