February 27, 2023—Santa Fe College, in association with the League of Women Voters, is hosting a panel discussion: “The Case Against Democracy: Moore v Harper and the Threat of Electoral Mayhem,” on Thursday, March 2nd, 2:00-3:30 in Building WA-108. Professors Alan Beck, Lyrissa Lidskey, and Donna Waller will be discussing a recent Supreme Court case that raises fundamental questions about partisan gerrymandering, delegation of powers, and the efficacy of checks and balances that protect an ordinary citizen’s right to vote. The event is free and open to the public.
