Rising Ninth Grade Students Invited to Free STEM Summer Camp at Santa Fe College, June 26-29

Santa Fe College STEM camp students can build and launch model rockets and more at the Perry Center in Alachua

April 10, 2023 – Rising ninth graders in Alachua and Bradford counties are invited to apply for a free, science-oriented, fun-filled summer camp.

The 2023 Earth/Wind/Fire/Water STEM Summer Camp is dedicated to rising ninth graders (eighth into ninth grade) to develop their joy of learning in a safe and nurturing environment. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to come and explore the world around them while having lots of fun and engaging in interactive learning projects. Activities include building and launching rockets, creating 3D printing designs, solving crimes with the latest DNA technology and more.

Students will also explore the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo, Construction Institute, Fine Arts Hall and Health Science programs.

The camp is scheduled for Monday, June 26 through Thursday, June 29 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Visit the Perry Center website to get the required application and forms. Signed forms must be emailed to deborah.singletary@sfcollege.edu or dropped off at the Perry Center. All applications are due by Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Students will be notified by email if they have been selected by Friday, June 9, 2023.
