April 11, 2023 – Join the Santa Fe College Police Department (SFPD) on Thursday, April 21 from 10:30 a. m. to 2:30 p.m. (lunch included) in building S room 29 at the SF Northwest Campus for a Student Police Dialogue. This event will be facilitated by the staff from the River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding.
This will be a community styled discussion designed to enhance community-officer relationships both on and off campus. These discussions address racial and ethnic disparities in law enforcement and offers SF students the opportunity to engage in dialogue and speak with law enforcement about their experiences and concerns. It is expected that the community and the officers will uncover and reduce their implicit biases, find common ground of understanding and that impactful information will be exchanged across groups.
