September 12, 2023 – All Santa Fe College full-time employees should have received an email on Sept. 8 detailing information on employee benefits.
As a reminder, the annual Benefits Fair will be Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, in R-001 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Employees can discuss insurance coverage for medical, dental, vision, cancer, life, and disability as well as other benefit options like flex spending, sick leave pool and Legal/ID Shield with participating representatives.
Open Enrollment for the 2024 benefit year will begin Monday, Oct. 23, and will end Friday, Nov. 3. To prepare you for the details in the healthcare plans, HR is hosting information sessions in R-001 on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Representatives from Health Equity and the Florida Colleges System Risk Management Consortium will be leading these conversations which will be recorded for those who cannot attend in person.
The college is also co-sponsoring a community event, “Planning for the Future” with Community Hospice & Palliative Care and the Gainesville Black Professionals on Thursday, Sept. 21, in R-001 from 4:45 – 7:45 p.m. This is a free event and dinner will be provided to all attendees, however seats are limited.
