October 9, 2023 – Money makes the world go around. Not knowing how to manage it can stop yours from turning.

Students are especially vulnerable to financial challenges. Living costs money. Educational expenses often add to the strain.

Fortunately, Santa Fe College partners with CAMPUS USA Credit Union to bring its students a Financial Wellness Center that promotes financial literacy.

“Our main goal,” said Krystal Robles, the CAMPUS USA Credit Union West Campus Regional Manager, “is to help anyone who needs advice on budgeting, credit knowledge (what builds credit, what doesn’t), how to make their student loans or grants last until their next disbursement, and what they need to do to be their best financial selves.”

Although CAMPUS USA Credit Union’s relationship with Santa Fe College is relatively new, the information Robles and their team provide is timeless. Budgeting, credit scores and car financing will remain constants for a long time. If you’re not worried about any of this now, you might be in the future.

“We encourage each person to think about where they want to be in three to five years,” Robles said, “and we will discuss how they can work toward getting there.”

Begin your journey Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Building K, Room 266 on SF’s Northwest Campus. Make appointments online or stop by in person.
