SF Student Wins Prestigious Slater Miller Memorial Fund

November 24, 2023 – Santa Fe College (SF) student Lorenz Anderson was awarded the Slater Miller Memorial Fund on Nov. 19. Anderson is pursuing a Construction Management degree at SF. According to their Bold.org profile, they hope to not only start a construction business but also create a trade apprenticeship school.

The Slater Miller Memorial Fund aims to honor the life of Slater Miller, a machinist who supported social issues, by assisting trade school students with financial need. It is one of many available scholarships that students can seek to help make their professional dreams come true.

Santa Fe College is the starting point for many students who lack the means to make a difference in today’s challenging world. Scholarships give them the chance to overcome income inequality and open doors to new opportunities.
