December 14, 2023 – The Santa Fe Saints Women’s basketball team broke their two-game losing streak yesterday. They met the Daytona State College Falcons in a conference game at the Santa Fe College Gym.
The Saints had to apply the pressure against the larger team, which they did throughout the game. In the end, the Falcons couldn’t handle the Saints’ swift offensive attacks. Santa Fe College won 79-65.
“Everybody contributed and played well, and they did it more importantly for forty minutes,” Saints Head Coach Russ Jackson said. “If we can continue to do that and provide energy and execute, we have a chance to compete.”
The Saints host the St. Petersburg College Titans in another conference match Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m.
