December 31, 2023 – With 2024 fast approaching, now is a great time to discover what’s happening at Santa Fe College in the following year. Here’s a rundown of just a few events and important dates:
- Spring and Spring A classes begin Jan. 8, 2024: The last day to drop with no record and receive a refund for Spring is Jan. 12.
- “Take 5” on Jan. 26: This evening of short plays is directed and performed by Santa Fe College students under the coordination of Matthew Lindsay.
- The Valentine’s Swing Dance happens Feb. 9: This semi-formal event will include light appetizers and free swing dance instruction.
- Winds Go Pop showcases our concert band Feb. 22: Sections will include popular dance grooves to some of the most memorable songs in cinematic history.
- Sing Into Spring takes place on March 21: Our talented student chorus, ensembles and soloists will be accompanied by live music performed by our student musicians.
- Open House 2024 is March 23: Join us to gain insight on all the ways SF can support your goals.
- Elements of Style hits the stage March 29 and 30: Dance Theatre of Santa Fe presents their annual concert showcasing the variety of dance styles taught in the SF dance program.
- Party For The Planet on April 6: We welcome you and your kids to explore the zoo and participate in fun activities such as games, crafts, animal encounters and more!
- The 52nd Annual Spring Arts Festival will take place April 13 and 14: The two-day event features the work of fine artists, performances by music and dance groups and more.
- Noises Off! begins its run at the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall on April 19: Chaos abounds both onstage and backstage with a set that revolves a full 180 degrees, allowing the audience a glimpse into the slow demise of the play and what’s left of the actor’s reputations.
- Summer, Summer A and Summer D classes begin May 13: The last day to drop with no record and receive a refund for Summer A is May 15. The last day to do the same for Summer and Summer D is May 17.
- World Tree Kangaroo Day is May 18: Enjoy a fun-filled day at the SF Teaching Zoo celebrating and learning about these unique, endangered tree-dwelling kangaroos.
- Room to Dance closes the season June 7 and 8: Come and see our student dancers enthusiastically perform their favorite styles choreographed through their own voices.
- Brew At The Zoo happens June 8: Guests 21+ are invited to an after-hours event at the zoo to enjoy an evening of live music, craft beer and more.
