January 17, 2024 – The Eastern Florida State College Titans proved insurmountable last Saturday at the SF Gym. The Santa Fe Saints Women’s basketball team hoped to turn their recent misfortunes around, but the Titans has other plans.
The Titans outscored the Saints in the first three quarters. The Saints came alive in the fourth, outscoring their guests. However, the damage was already done. The Titans won 75-52.
Saints Head Coach Russ Jackson maintained hope for the future, saying, “I saw some flashes that we can build upon. I saw, of course, quite a few things that need to be fixed, but all in all, the young ladies competed, and that is all I can ask for.”
The Saints head to Tampa on Jan. 17 to challenge Hillsborough Community College.
