Alternative Spring Break 2024: Cumberland Island National Seashore

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact while immersing yourself in the rich history and natural wonders of Cumberland Island, Georgia? Join Student Life’s office of Civic Engagement and Service for this year’s Alternative Spring Break service trip to Cumberland Island National Seashore from March 4-6, 2024. As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside National Park Service staff, contributing to trail maintenance, gardening, trash pick-up, painting, and vegetation removal on Georgia’s largest and southernmost barrier island. Immerse yourself in the island’s pristine maritime forests, undeveloped beaches, and wide marshes, all while delving into its rich history. Due to high interest and limited space, submit your application by February 14 to be considered. Civic Engagement and Service covers lodging, transportation, and meals for participants. Don’t miss this chance to combine service, exploration, and a meaningful connection during your Spring Break!
