January 26, 2024 – The Saints continued their win streak yesterday when they defeated the Hillsborough Community College Hawks. The victory did not come easy.
Both teams battled for the lead, forcing the game into overtime. The Saints held on until the very end, winning 85-81.
“Tonight was the prime example of us having to be able to overcome what was going on,” Saints Head Coach Russ Jackson said. “The young ladies didn’t give up regardless of what was happening, and they found a way to win a game that could’ve very easily been a loss.”
The Saints ride their momentum to St. Petersburg, where they challenge the Titans on Saturday, Jan. 27.
