Santa Fe College's Clock Tower on the Northwest Campus.

February 1, 2024 – Attention SF employees! Sign up for one of the final spring trainings in Mental Health First Aid. Two dates are available to choose from: Friday, Feb. 9 or Thursday, March 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the Northwest Campus. Lunch, coffee and water will be provided.

This training helps participants understand how to help students, visitors or staff members who may be experiencing a mental health-related crisis or problem on campus. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis and addictions.

Dr. Naima Brown, Vice President for SF Student Affairs, stresses the need for this training, saying, “As we focus on continuous improvement, service excellence, and campus safety in an environment where many people are experiencing mental health issues or problems, this course helps to equip staff with the tools needed to safely intervene and make appropriate referrals.”
