February 5, 2024 – While many of us had a relaxing time this weekend, the Saints worked hard to keep their winning record. It was a weekend filled with highs and lows.

Last Friday, the Saints hosted the South Georgia State College Hawks for a doubleheader. The Saints trailed the Hawks for most of the first game until the Hawks took to the air in the sixth inning with an offensive flurry. The Saints couldn’t recover, dropping the game 13-5.

The Saints had a chance to even the series, but the Hawks grabbed the lead early and soared away with the victory 14-7.

The Saints turned it around Saturday when they hosted the South Florida State College Panthers for two games. The first game was a thriller, with the Saints leading early. The Panthers pounced when they could to close the gap, but the Saints held strong, winning 4-2.

It took a few innings for the Saints to find their footing in the second game, but when they did, they left the Panthers in their dust, winning 13-3.

The Saints will face Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College at home on Feb. 7. The first pitch will take place at 2 p.m.
