February 17, 2024 – Here’s some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- Santa Fe College’s 2024 Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon is March 26: Three Women of Distinction and one Woman of Promise will receive awards from Santa Fe College.
- SF Office for Finance issues Budget and Year-End Instructions for FY 23-24: Santa Fe College’s Office for Finance has issued the 2024 year-end memo for departments needing to wrap up budgets for the fiscal year.
- Dr. J. Nathaniel Southerland was named SF Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs: His first day will be Monday, March 11.
- Dr. Tony Blalock, First SFPD Chief, passed away: He was a founding director of Santa Fe College’s Institute of Public Safety as well as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs.
- Mitch McKay’s piano students will play the Steinway in a free recital on March 13: Six Santa Fe College students as well as two guests will perform.
- CATT is moving: The Center for Academic Technologies and Training is moving to its new offices in Building N between Feb. 16 and 20.
- Ward Scott, Long-Time SF Professor, passed away: He was an SF professor from 1969 until 2007.
- Santa Fe College offers Mental Health First Aid training for its employees: The session happens Thursday, March 14, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in S-326 on the Northwest Campus.
- Gov. DeSantis awards $4 million to support the local expansion of SF’s Nursing program: The Bradford County School District was awarded the funds to support expanding SF’s Associate in Science in Nursing program into Bradford County.
